Looking for the coolest possible clothing options for the groom, outdoor wedding in August?

We are having an outdoor wedding in early August. The service will be in the evening, but in August, who knows how hot it may still be. My fiancee gets hot very easily and I don’t want him to miserable, but I also want him to look nice for our wedding pictures. I’m afraid if I make him wear the traditional full tux with the vest & jacket, that he’ll have a heat stroke!!! Not how I want to start my marriage!! LOL Any suggestions? Don’t say pick a cooler month, the date is set in stone!

Try a lighter breathable suit that has a nice fit and is well tailored…they have suits with different fabrics depending on the season.
Every guy needs a good suit anyways so why not buy one? Make it a darker color so if he does sweat it wont show…

This is a little hard to answer not knowing more details of the wedding. Here’s one option, though it might be too informal for your wedding.

A linen men’s suit in white or gray. Dressier than shirt only, but not so thick that he’ll sweat to death. And no vest.
Here are some pictures so you can get an idea of what it would look like:

Let me tell you what happened at my wedding………
We had pictures (which you could do professional pictures first either inside somewhere or on a different day)
the ceremony
and then the reception.
Keep your ceremony simple and sweet and short, and first off at the reception, do your cake pictures and toasting pictures, and then let him come out of the jacket and vest.
That’s what happened at ours.
All the groomsmen and fathers, etc, about 8-10 of them, had their tuxes off almost before we walked away at the end of the ceremony, (LOL)

I being a groom chose to wear clothing that wasn’t tradditonal, I went to Holy Clothing on Ebay, and got some really cool pants and a tux shirt from another company. My wife wore a Sari, and the fabric was so long that we cut a portion off the Sari, and I wore it as a sash over the top of the shirt from shoulder to waist. Also, it was nice because our Groomsmen and Bridesmaids all wore black pants and white shirts with purple and green stitching down the button portion of the shirts. We as a couple really stood out and we couldn’t have felt better about our pictures. One this is for sure, no one looked as good as we did. Also, it helps if you have a morning wedding, the sun hasn’t came out and baked everything to hell yet. We had ours at 10:00 am, reception lunch, cake and dance. I hope you have an awesome time!

I saw this on someone else’s question
it’s a guayabera traditional cuban shirt, with some khaki pants and nice brown/tan shoes open/closed.
The shirt comes in different colors and long/short sleeves.
It’s an outdoor wedding so it deserves a nice causaul look.
Hope this helps
